Military on a cold January morning. All three horses were watching the horses in the front paddock get fed twice a day, while they went without. The boards of their paddock where eaten. They had no shelter and no water. The rainrot all three horses had was unimagineable.

Please let us remember Military Miss only 4 years old. She was in the field with Terms of Endearment and Harmony Queen. The owner said she was down because she needed calicium. I don't think so.

Shimmer and Sparkle - age unknown - Shimmer and Sparkle were from the Quantico Maryland neglect case where 25 horses were found dead on the property. 100 horses remained and were in various stages of neglect. Sparkle scored as 1 out of 10 on the body weight scale when she arrived to TEAR on 04/03/18 and Shimmer as a 3 out of 10. Both are covered in lice and are feral. Both are gaining weight by leaps and bounds and have been dewormed which will help with internal parasites as well as with the lice. Shimmer has learned that it is nice to be scratched and loved on. I am very close to getting a halter on her. Sparkle is still very aloof and is pretty sure human touch burns. When people were attempting to capture these horses Shimmer ran through a fence and had cut her left front leg pretty extensively. It is currently healing very well. These horses will eventually be available for adoption but they have a very long road ahead of them.

Cookie - She would love to have someone of her own that will be patient and devote the time to her. She is blind in one eye and is a bit flighty but as you can see is curious and loving.
